Between 35-60 pounds (15-36 kg).

Height:

Between 16-22 inches (40-56 cm) at the shoulders.

Color(s):

Bull Terriers come in a wide range of different colors, but brindle is most preferred by kennel clubs.

Coat:

Bull Terriers have short, glossy coats with a harsh texture.

Overview

Character:

Bull Terriers are friendly and energetic dogs with an outgoing personality. They love spending time with humans and are quite affectionate. Bull Terriers are very loyal and loving family companions.

England.

History:

Bull Terriers were developed as fighting dogs in England during the early 1800’s. The result of crossing bulldogs with different types of terriers, these dogs developed into a courageous breed. Once dog fighting was outlawed, Bull Terriers quickly became popular for their many great qualities.

Also known as the English Bull Terrier.

Temperament:

Bull Terriers have a friendly disposition and are good with children. However, this breed does not always get along well with cats or other dogs. Bull Terriers tend to be tolerant of strangers and love people.

Training:

Bull Terriers are intelligent dogs and are quite trainable.

Activity:

Bull Terriers are very active and playful dogs that require plenty of attention.

Ownership:

These dogs love human company and are very faithful companions. Bull Terriers are good with children but are somewhat like young children themselves, requiring plenty of attention. This breed does not like to be left alone for long periods of time, neither outdoors nor indoors. Bull Terriers like to be involved in family activities but require firm, consistent discipline.
