Height:

27-31.5 inches (68-80 cm) at the shoulders.

Polish Greyhounds come in all different colours.

The Polish Greyhound has a coat of variable length that is fairly harsh yet not wiry.

Polish Greyhounds are working dogs and are very skilled at hunting. At the same time, these dogs can also be very pleasant companions.

Poland.

History:

This breed has been present in Poland since at least the 13th century and likely descended from the Asian Greyhound. Used for hunting a variety of prey in the harsh climate of its native land, this breed has been mentioned and depicted in works of literature and art throughout Poland’s history. The general appearance of the Polish Greyhound has, for the most part, remained unchanged over time.

The Polish greyhound is also known as the Chart Polski.

Temperament:

Polish Greyhounds are confident and self-assured dogs. They are also very hardy and tough animals.

Training:

Firm training is necessary for Polish Greyhounds.

Activity:

This breed is very active and requires plenty of space and exercise.

Ownership:

Polish Greyhounds are excellent hunting dogs and companion dogs. These dogs are best suited to a living environment where they will have plenty of space and receive lots of exercise every day. Polish Greyhounds also require regular grooming.
